Samples
Here are some samples of web work that I'm currently involved with. To see my photography, check out my portfolio.
I have experience with several Open Source software packages for web site deployment, such as Joomla, WordPress, phpBB, Simple Machines Forum, and Drupal. I also have experience with traditional deployments using Dreamweaver. I mostly use HTML/CSS, PHP and Javascript for development, but have worked with higher end sever technologies such as Java/J2EE and Java Server Pages.
X5mfg
This site was developed for X5 Manufacturing in Phoenix, Arizona. The design was created from scratch and the site is a simple Joomla deployment. The photos and gallery are displayed using Javascript (specifically using JQuery)
America's Best Value Inn Las Cruces
This is another Joomla site, developed for a friend who owns a hotel in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The design and theme was created from scratch.
Elina's Garden
This is a web site in progress, developed for a friend to highlight the garden work done for the aforementioned hotel. The theme is developed from scratch, and was developed using Dreamweaver and is in the process of being deployed in Joomla.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
aPlaceOfGrace.org is the first web site I created. I used a purchased Joomla theme but customized the graphics heavily and tweaked the CSS quite a bit. This site is still based on Joomla 1.0.x. This site also uses additional software, including WordPress for a blog, Simple Machines Forum for community discussion, and Wikka Wiki.
CSS Zen Garden
The CSS Zen Garden is a site demonstrating how different CSS can be applied to the same source HTML document to achieve a wide variety of designs.
I haven't tried making any submissions, but I have experimented with my own design, called Caffeine Surge. You can view a local copy of it on this site. Note that since it is not running on the live CSS Zen Garden server, the links do not work.
AzDrew
AzDrew.net is also deployed using Joomla, with a simple theme with the intention of keeping this site fairly simple.
I also have an alternate sample/test version powered by Drupal, another Content Management System. It was developed while learning Drupal administration, configuration, and theming. The site is a demonstration of a theme that I developed.
I am also experimenting with mobile access with this site. If you access this Drupal site using an iPhone/IPod Touch, Google Android, or Nokia S60 browser you should see the site tailored to smaller mobile screen sizes.
