Birmingham-Southern College's Office of Student Development oversees the College's compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Student Development works with students, administrators, staff, faculty, Campus Police, and off-campus resources to ensure a campus community that is safe and free of sexual assault or harassment, rape, and dating/domestic violence - as well as discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and gender expression.

Student Development can offer information and protective measures for parties who have been victim to incidents involving sexual harassment, relationship violence, or sexual assault.
